POWER OF KINDNESS INTERACTIVE INFOGRAPHIC

CASE STUDY

INTRO.

The problem with presenting a lot of information is keeping people engaged in the content. For this project, I had to figure out a way to take information and present it in a way that was more engaging and helped users learn and interact with it. Building off of my first project, the "Power of Kindness Typography Video" project,  I decided to create an interactive infographic on random facts on kindness. I divided up the sections into three parts — Kindness Increases, Did You Know, and Kindness Decreases.

APPROACH.

After spending some time researching information on kindness and hitting the "AHA!" moment of the creative process, I then began sketching out my ideas onto a storyboard template.

Storyboard Sketches

Once I sketched out my initial ideas, I then started adding elements to Hype. However, I ran into an issue... No matter how hard I tried to make a layout with angled, rectangular backgrounds (like in my storyboard sketches), I couldn’t. Shown below is what I had envisioned during the ideation stage; this was created in Adobe Illustrator, not Hype.

FINAL PRODUCT.

Instead of spending even more time in Hype, trying to figure out how to make the layout that I had wanted, I decided to revise my storyboard and make my overall design simpler.
